Ukrainian, Luxembourgian defense ministers discuss defense coeration priorities

"We share a common understanding: Eure must strengthen its defense capabilities. To achieve this, we need to ramp up arms production both in the EU and in Ukraine. Luxembourg is ready to contribute to these efforts," Umerov said.
Backes provided an update on Luxembourg's planned assistance to Ukraine for 2025. "We agreed to define key priorities for allocating these funds," Umerov added.
Among these priorities, he noted, is the IT coalition, in which Luxembourg plays a key re. The ministers also discussed financing mechanisms for Ukraine's defense industry based on the "Danish model."
Umerov expressed gratitude to Backes for Luxembourg's continued support for Ukraine and commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"For three years now, Luxembourg has remained a reliable ally of Ukraine," he said.
