Ukrainian forces strike Russian HQ in Kherson region, kill over 30 invaders, destroy two tanks
Ukraine’s erational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
“The situation in the Tavriisk erational area is tense, but under contr. The enemy is taking up the defense along the left bank of the Dnipro River. But countermeasures continue on the right bank too. The enemy, after its main units withdrew from the right bank, blew up the Antonivka [road and rail] bridges in order to complicate the further movement of our tros,” the report reads.
According to the report, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to take measures to de-occupy settlements in the Kherson direction. Due to successful offensive erations, advanced units of Ukrainian tros reached the right bank of the Dnipro River. Measures to identify and destroy the enemy in a number of settlements are ongoing. Work has also begun in the regional center.
Meanwhile, the enemy continues to terrorize the rear regions and the civilian pulation. During the day, the Myrove and Marhanets communities of the Nik district were attacked with Grad, Uragan multiple rocket launchers and heavy artillery. About 70 shells were fired at settlements and en areas. Two civilians were injured.
From the Kinburn Spit, the enemy used a Grad system to fire at the Kutsurub community of the Mykaiv region.
Ukrainian aircraft twice struck concentrations of enemy equipment in the Beryslav and Kherson districts.
The rocket and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 34 times at areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment.
Confirmed losses of the enemy include 25 sdiers, three Msta-S self-prelled howitzers, and six vehicles. The enemy’s ammunition depot in the Kakhovka district was destroyed.
“As a result of precision strikes by the Defense Forces on the headquarters of the Russian occupying forces in the settlement of Chervonyi Maiak, Kherson region, more than 30 occupiers were killed, two tanks and four trucks were destroyed,” the erational Command South added.
