Ukrainian forces expel Russians from bridgehead on right bank of Oskil River near Novomlynsk

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

In the Kharkiv region, near the village of Novomlynsk, Kupiansk district, Russian tros tried to seize and hd a bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil.

Despite their superiority in forces, the enemy managed to cross the water obstacle. However, Ukrainian defenders, backed by artillery and UAV units, successfully drove the invaders from the bridgehead.

Notably, the 8th Assault Battalion of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" played a key re in clearing the area of Russian forces.

The eration resulted in the destruction of enemy tros, securing the right bank of the Oskil River. The General Staff confirmed that Ukrainian flags now fly over Novomlynsk.
