Ukrainian defense forces push Russians out of Pishchane in Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian defense forces pushed the Russian army out of Pishchane village, three kilometers from Pokrovsk. This was achieved thanks to the effective coeration of unmanned aerial vehicles and attack aircraft.

Viktor Trehubov, the spokesman for the Khortytsia erational and strategic group of forces, said this on Suspilne on Sunday, February 16, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the Russian army has recently suffered setbacks in the Pokrovsk sector.

“That is the village of Pishchane, where Russian forces were driven out. There have been active hostilities there for quite some time, but it is important to note that the situation is constantly evving in this area. The recent defeat suffered by the Russians in this area has been attributed, particularly, to the effective coordination of various Ukrainian drone erators and UAV units,” said the Khortytsia spokesman.

He stated that this strategy could serve as a basis for establishing a system of interaction that would be advantageous to expand into other areas of the frontline.

"While we are discussing not only drones, but also effective assault erations, such as the 'Skala'. It is important to note that the Ukrainian forces here are highly skilled, and the Russians were unable to overcome the Ukrainians primarily due to a lack of organization and resources. They were unable to compete with the Ukrainians both in the air and on the ground," Trehubov emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, 261 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian invaders were recorded at the front on February 15. The Ukrainian forces thwarted 71 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector.
