Ukraine’s General Staff: 140 combat clashes in past day, Pokrovsk sector remains hottest

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 08:00 on Monday, January 13, Ukrinform reports.

Yesterday, the Russian tros conducted 42 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and pulated areas, drping 58 aerial glide bombs and launching one missile strike.

In addition, the enemy carried out over 6,000 attacks, including 126 MLRS attacks and strikes deploying 2,992 kamikaze drones.

The Russian army carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Ochkyne, Novovasylivka, Vovkivka, Veterynarne, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Novil, Maliivka, eksiivka, Kostiantynil, Komar, and Velyka Novosilka.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile tros and artillery of the Defense Forces hit one command post, five air defense systems, two ammunition depots, six artillery facilities and three other important targets of the Russian invaders.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian tros four times in the areas of Vovchansk and Kozacha Lan.

In the Kupiansk sector, eight enemy attacks occurred over the last day. The Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Petravlivka and Pishchane.

In the Lyman sector, Russian tros attacked 12 times, trying to advance toward Kanky, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Tverdokhlibove, Terny and Zarichne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, 15 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the vicinity of Toretsk, Bila Hora and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian tros stped 58 Russian assault and offensive erations in the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zelene, Promin, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novovasylivka, Sribne, Petravlivka, Novoandriivka, Dachne, Shevchenkove and Yantarne.

In the Novavlivka sector, the enemy launched nine attacks near Kostiantynil, Neskuchne, Vremivka and Rivne, with the Russian Air Force erating in the area

In the Siversk, Orikhiv and Huliaipe sectors, the enemy did not conduct any active erations in the past day.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian tros made one unsuccessful.

In the erational zone in Russia’s Kursk region, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 17 Russian attacks over the past day. The Russian invaders carried out 443 artillery attacks and launched 14 air strikes, using 16 aerial glide bombs.

No signs of enemy offensive groups were recorded in the Vyn and Pissia sectors.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army’s total combat losses in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to January 13, 2024, amounted to about 809,760 tros, including another 1,510 invaders killed or wounded in the past day.
