Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel enemy attacks near eight settlements

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest erational update posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the General Staff, the enemy is trying to hd the temporarily captured territories, focusing its efforts on attempts to disrupt the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in certain directions, and is conducting offensive erations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

The Russian forces are shelling the positions of Ukrainian tros along the contact line, fortifying defensive positions in certain directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Viating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war, the enemy continues to attack the civilian infrastructure and civilian residential areas

Over the past day, the occupiers launched more 5 missile attacks and 23 airstrikes, more than 66 MLRS attacks.

More than 30 settlements came under enemy fire, including Nik and Shakhtarske in Dnipretrovsk region; Hlushkivka in Kharkiv region; Orikhiv and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia region; Dmytrivka in Kyiv region; Bilohirka in Kherson region and Vuhledar in Donetsk region.

In the Vyn and Pissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. There is still a threat of airstrikes and missile strikes, as well as the deployment of Shahed -136 drones launched from the territory of Belarus.

In other directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars, UAVs and artillery of various types to shell settlements:

in the Siverskyi direction, the enemy shelled the areas near Mykaivka in Chernihiv region and Pokrovka in Sumy region;

in the Slobozhanske direction – the settlements of Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Hatyshche, Pishchane, Kamianka and Dvorichna;

in the Kramatorsk direction – Bilohorivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoyehorivka, Rozdivka and Serebrianka;

in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line;

in the Novavlivske and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy shelled more than 15 settlements, including  Vuhledar, Vremivka, Paraskoviivka, Prechystivka and Shcherbaky.

More than 25 settlements along the contact line were shelled in the Southern Buh direction.
