Two Ukrainian military servicemen were wounded in the Donbas warzone on Saturday, the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported on Facebook.
“Russian occupation forces once again violated the truce and opened fire on the positions of the Joint Forces. Near the village of Shumy, the enemy employed small arms. As a result of the attack, one Ukrainian defender sustained a gunshot wound. The soldier is in grave condition,” the statement said.
Outside the village of Khutir Vilniy, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded by a sniper. Doctors say his condition is of moderate severity.

Both wounded troops were promptly provided given first aid and evacuated to medical facilities.
“Such criminal actions by the enemy did not go unpunished. Employing firepower available, the Joint Forces delivered an adequate response to Russia’s armed groups. Enemy losses are being verified,” the Command said.
