Two injured in Russian strike on Kupiansk

The Russian army launched an attack on the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, injuring a 48-year-d woman and a 24-year-d pice officer.

eh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy continues to terrorize Kupiansk. At around 10:40, the occupiers struck the city, injuring a 48-year-d woman. She was not hospitalized," the post said.

Russian forces also hit near an ambulance that was en route to an emergency. The vehicle was damaged.

The regional governor added that in the village of Prystin, Russian shelling from multiple rocket launchers damaged seven residential houses.

Later, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on Telegram that Russian tros shelled Kupiansk on February 7 at around 09:45.

"A 24-year-d pice officer was injured. Within the next 10-20 minutes, Russian forces struck the city again. An emergency medical vehicle, which was on its way to assist the injured officer, came under fire. Fortunately, the medical staff was unharmed," the post added.

It was initially determined that the enemy used "Krasn" — guided artillery shells — for the attacks.

The pice confirmed reports of the injury to their officer.

"During the shelling of Kupiansk, a pice officer was wounded. Law enforcement officers are documenting the aftermath of the Russian attack. On February 7, at around 10:00, an artillery attack took place in the settlement. The pice officer sustained shrapnel wounds. He was immediately transported to a medical facility and underwent surgery," the pice said.
