Syniehubov: Russia has intensified Shahed attacks on Kharkiv region, especially at night

“As for the security situation, there have been attacks almost every day, invving up to 10 guided aerial bombs on our territory. What changes have occurred over the past month? There has been an increase in the number of strikes invving Shaheds. We observe their presence in our airspace virtually around the clock, with them being particularly active at night. On average, there are about 10 Shaheds. The targets are clear: our critical energy infrastructure and civilian facilities,” he said.
Syniehubov recalled that on December 25, 2024, 13 Russian missiles hit the critical energy infrastructure of the Kharkiv region. He emphasized that one of the key responsibilities of the local authorities is to facilitate the rapid restoration of the damaged facilities. At the same time, the regional governor stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the military and the t military and pitical leadership are doing everything possible to protect Kharkiv.

"As for strengthening protection, we clearly understand that it is about covering the substations. This is the task that we are currently working on, and it is the President's task as well (I cannot disclose the level of protection or what is and isn't protected). We are also working to increase the military component and, of course, passive protection – shelters. Everything we can hide, we must hide,” he said.
He also noted that coeration with businesses on the subject of emergency response systems, which, according to him, are already showing their effectiveness today, is ongoing.
“We clearly understand that decentralization of the heating system and energy supply are our priorities, which we have been working on for several years and will continue to work on,” Syniehubov added.
As Ukrinform reported, in the Kharkiv region, erators of FPV drone erators of the Defense Forces carried out strikes on camouflaged infantry and dugouts of the Russian army.
