Russia’s offensive erations in Sloviansk and Avdiivka directions fail, enemy tros retreat – General Staff

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook as of 06:00 p.m., August 12, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian invaders ened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dmytrivka, Dibrivne, Virnillia, Ridne, Protivka, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne, Nortsivka, Krasnillia and Dyna. The enemy launched air strikes near Zalyman.

Russian tros attempted to conduct offensive battles in the direction of Pasika-Bohorodychne and Tykhotske-Dyna. Enemy attacks were repulsed, and Russian units retreated.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelling was recorded near Siversk, Zvanivka, Verkhniokamianske, Hryhorivka and Raihorodok.

The enemy’s attempt to conduct reconnaissance in fighting in the direction of Bilohorivka-Hryhorivka failed.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian tros used tanks and different artillery systems to en fire near Bakhmut, Sedar, Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Kodema, Vershyna, Zaitseve and Vasiukivka. The enemy launched air strikes near Vyimka, Ivano-Darivka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Sedar and Bakhmutske.

Russian invaders attempted to conduct reconnaissance in fighting near Spirne. Ukrainian defenders inflicted fire damage and neutralized enemy units.

In vain, Russian tros conducted offensive and assault erations, attempting to break through the defense of Ukrainian forces and advance in the direction of Spirne, Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Yakovlivka, Kodema, Vershyna and Zaitseve. The enemy suffered losses and retreated. In certain areas, battles continue.

In the direction of Pokrovske-Bakhmut, Russian invaders were partially successful, and now they are trying to gain a foothd there.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched air strikes near Marinka, Vodiane, Netailove, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka and Novobakhmutivka. Russian occupied launched air strikes near Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vodiane and Avdiivka.

Ukrainian defenders repulsed all enemy attempts to conduct assault erations near Spartak, Pisky and Marinka, and pushed Russian invaders back to the previous positions.

In the Novavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russian tros ened fire near Novomykhailivka, Shevchenko, Novoiakovlivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vodymyrivka, Vuhledar, Novil, Preobrazhenka, Vremivka, Novosilka, Zelene Pe, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, Novoandriivka, Huliaipe and Bilohiria. The enemy launched air strikes near Vuhledar and Novomykhailivka.

Russian invaders launched an offensive in the direction of Yehorivka-Pavlivka. Ukrainian defenders stped the enemy and pushed them back.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian occupiers ened fire on the positions of Ukrainian forces along the contact line, using tanks, cannon and rocket artillery. The enemy launched air strikes near Osokorivka, Andriivka, Blahodatne, Novohryhorivka, Lozove, Myrne, Bruskynske and Velyke Artakove.

Russian tros are making attempts to restore the combat capacity of units that suffered losses in that direction.

In the Vyn and Pissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. According to the available information, Belarusian forces checked the readiness of the combat management and warning system on August 11, 2022.

In the Siverskyi direction, enemy units are staying in the border areas of Bryansk Region and Kursk Region in order to restrain the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Russian tros launched artillery strikes near Chernihiv Region’s eksandrivka and Sumy Region’s Yurieve, Bilillia, Atynske and Yastrubyne.

The rotation of Russian tros is taking place in the border areas of Kursk Region and Belgorod Region.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian invaders used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to en fire near Udy, Odnorobivka, Prudianka, Slatyne, Dementiivka, Nove, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Tsytrkuny, Cherniaky, Petrivka, Shestakove, Staryi Saltiv, Mospanove, Kutuzivka, Lisne, Ivanivka, Husarivka, Lebiazhe, Korobochkyne, Slobozhanske and Chepil.

The enemy used assault and combat aircrafts to launch air strikes near Verkhnii Saltiv, Rtyshchivka, Ukrainka and Bairak.

In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, two enemy cruise missiles carriers are remaining on combat duty.

According to the General Staff, Russian occupation tros are increasingly suffering losses in terms of manpower.
