Russians will fail to keep contr of Zaporizhzhia NPP – Podyak

The relevant statement was made by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podyak on FREEDOM TV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to Radio Svoboda [Radio Liberty].

“The Russian military will retreat from Zaporizhzhia NPP, as their line of defense is being gradually pushed away towards the borders of Russia. When Russia seized Crimea, all the international representative offices gave up and said: “Well, okay”. Now, such a story won’t cut it,” Podyak said.

In his words, the entire world enly declares that Russia’s Rosatom does not have any legal power over Zaporizhzhia NPP, and the plant is sely Ukrainian.

A reminder that Zaporizhzhia NPP and the satellite city of Enerhodar have been under Russian occupation since March 4, 2022. Russia rejects a prosal by the United Nations to demilitarize the area around the plant.
