Russian praganda spreading fake videos featuring alleged Ukrainian sdier calling tros to “march on Kyiv”

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has reported that Russian praganda is circulating fake videos in which an alleged fighter of the 114th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade calls on Ukrainian tros to "march on Kyiv."

According to Ukrinform, the CCD shared this information on Facebook.

After directly reaching out to the 114th Brigade, the CCD confirmed that none of the brigade's servicemen were invved in creating or appearing in the distributed videos.

"There is no such sdier in the brigade as the one shown in the video whom they falsely claim to be a member of their unit," the CCD stated.

The man in the circulated videos is believed to be a Russian actor, and the footage was created by Russian eratives to destabilize Ukrainian society, the CCD suggests.

Despite this disinformation campaign, the 114th Territorial Defense Brigade continues to fight against Russian occupiers in some of the most intense frontline areas, particularly near Kupiansk.

The CCD explains that such fake news is part of a broader Russian information eration aimed at inciting protests in Ukraine and creating divisions between civilians and the military.

The Center also reminds the public that the Russian Ministry of Defense funds several creative agencies and theatrical studios to produce staged praganda content. One such company, Krylya Studio, receives classified budget allocations from Russia's defense ministry and specializes in creating fake videos about "Ukrainian sdiers".

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian pragandists have also spread staged videos of the alleged "execution" of a so-called "Ukrainian serviceman" captured after allegedly attempting to desert his unit.
