Russian forces launch airstrike on Kherson, casualties reported

On Sunday, after 16:00, the Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Kherson, with reports confirming at least two pele injured.

This was announced by Roman Mrochko, Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

"After 16:00, the Russian occupiers launched an airstrike on Kherson. So far, one person has been confirmed injured. A 40-year-d woman, who was outside at the time of the explosion, sustained a concussion, explosive and closed head trauma, as well as shrapnel wounds to her back," Mrochko wrote.

The injured woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that at least two pele were wounded in the attack.

"Around 16:20, the occupiers carried out an airstrike on the regional center. At least two civilians have been injured. The information is being updated," the statement on Telegram reads.

Later, Roman Mrochko updated that a woman with severe injuries had been rescued from the rubble of a destroyed building in Kherson.

"Another woman has been injured as a result of the enemy's airstrike on Kherson. She was trapped under the rubble of a building. The condition of the 46-year-d victim is assessed as severe by medics. She has suffered a concussion, explosive and closed head trauma, and shrapnel wounds to the abdominal cavity," the statement reads.

Earlier, on February 2, the Russian forces attacked a bus with a drone, injuring five pele, including two children. All of the victims were hospitalized.
