Russian army will get strong rebuff if it enters Ukraine through Zhytomyr region – region’s governor

If the Russian army attempts to enter Ukraine through the Zhytomyr region, it will be met with a strong rebuff.

Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration, td this to Zhytomyr.info, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the first day of the war, we have never stped increasing our defenses in the north of the region. I will say what can be said: if the enemy wants to enter the territory of Ukraine through the Zhytomyr region, we will create hell for them," Bunechko said.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, border guards and law enforcement officers clearly understand what is happening in Belarus. Bunechko added that "it will not be an easy walk for them, as some pele think."

The Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Zhytomyr region is more than 250 kilometers long.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine earlier did not rule out that the Russians might again attack Kyiv from Belarus through the Chornobyl exclusion zone or the Chernihiv region.
