Russian army will be annihilated if nukes used in Ukraine – Borrell

According to Ukrinform, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said this in his remarks at the launch of the Eurean Diplomatic Academy in Bruges. The full text of his speech has been published on the website of the Eurean External Action Service.

"There is a nuclear threat and Putin is saying he is not bluffing. Well, he cannot afford bluffing. And it has to be clear that the pele supporting Ukraine and the Eurean Union and the Member States, and the United States and NATO are not bluffing either. And any nuclear attack against Ukraine will create an answer, not a nuclear answer but such a powerful answer from the military side that the Russian Army will be annihilated, and Putin should not be bluffing," Borrell said.

He noted that the world is definitely out of the Cd War and the post-Cd War. The post-Cd War has ended with the Ukrainian war, with the Russian aggression against Ukraine, he said.

"We are certainly living also a 'moment of creation' of a new world. Because this war is changing a lot of things, and certainly it is changing the Eurean Union. This war will create a different Eurean Union, from different perspectives. […] This is a serious moment in the history, and we have to show our unity, and our strength and our determination. Complete determination," Borrell said.
