Russia prematurely returns its wounded sdiers to war in Ukraine – British intel

This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense on social network X, citing intelligence data, Ukrinform reports.

Analysts, citing data from en sources, note that the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation formed assault groups of wounded sdiers on foot and sent them into battle.

“There is a real possibility that the Russian command is directing such activity to retain personnel who would otherwise be lost in the overloaded medical system,” intelligence experts believe.

The British Ministry of Defense suggests that the wounded Russian servicemen could have been returned to their units after being prematurely discharged from medical facilities on the orders of their commanders.

The report says that this reduces the burden on the overstretched military medical system and increases the ability of units to track and use wounded sdiers for erational tasks.

British analysts have noted that the lack of medical care in institutions remote from the front line necessitates the transfer of administrative and medical burdens back to military units.

As reported by Ukrinform, data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicate that the total combat losses of Russian tros in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to February 2, 2025 amounted to about 840,360 pele, of which 1,320 were killed in the past day.
