Russia-led forces use banned 82mm mortars to attack Ukrainian positions on Sunday

No Ukrainian army casualties have been reported today.

Russia-led forces mounted one attack on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on Sunday, having used proscribed weapons.

In particular, they lobbed five 82mm mortar shells to attack Ukrainian troops deployed near the village of Vodiane in the Skhid (East) sector, the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces said on Facebook in an evening update as of 19:00 Kyiv time on Sunday, March 22.

“Members of the Joint Forces took the necessary measures to stop the enemy’s provocation. Today’s attack has not caused any losses among Joint Forces troops,” it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the enemy violated the ceasefire in Donbas 10 times, as a result of which a Ukrainian soldier was wounded in action.
