President Zelensky in Kherson: Despite hard battles, Ukraine liberates occupied territories
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with the media representatives in Kherson, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“We are coming step by step to all the temporarily occupied territories of our country. Of course, it is difficult, it is a long and hard path. The best heroes of our country are in this war,” Zelensky said.
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine does not believe the statements of Russia, which is trying to mislead the global community.
“We are moving on. We are ready for peace, but peace for our entire country. This is the territory of our entire state. We respect international law and the sovereignty of every state, and now we are talking about the sovereignty of our state. That is why we are fighting against Russian aggression,” the President of Ukraine noted.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine will continue to liberate the territories occupied by the aggressor.
“We are not interested in the territory of other countries. We are only interested in the de-occupation of our country and our territories. Therefore, I don’t know what will happen next, but it will happen,” Zelensky stressed.
In his words, today Ukraine is paying a high price for victories at the front, because the enemy does not want to vuntarily return what it captured.
“No one gives anything away so easily. The price of this war is high. Pele were wounded, a large number of pele died. Therefore (Russian tros – ed.) retreated or fled – we believe that they fled because our army surrounded the enemy, and they were in danger. There were fierce battles, and the result is that today we are in the Kherson region,” Zelensky added.
A reminder that, on November 14, 2022, Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky came to the city of Kherson, which had recently been liberated from Russian invaders. Zelensky met with the military and took part in the official ceremony of raising the Ukrainian flag.
