Number of those injured in missile attack on Voznesensk rises to 12

Proceedings have been launched into a missile attack on the city of Voznesensk, Mykaiv region, in which 12 pele, including children, were injured.

The Mykaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Mykaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings regarding the viation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the report said.

According to the investigation, on August 20, 2022, at 11:30, military personnel of the aggressor country, disregarding the norms of international humanitarian law, launched a missile attack on the city of Voznesensk. An enemy rocket hit a five-story residential building, damaging two entrances to the building, as well as nearby private houses and vehicles.

According to preliminary information, 12 pele were injured, including three children.

There are no military facilities in this area.
