Minister Reznikov about Rammstein-4: New commitments relate to land, sea and sky

During the fourth Rammstein format Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, another step was taken to strengthen Ukraine’s defense. The new commitments of partners, relating to land, sea and sky, became a positive signal of the meeting.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister eksii Reznikov on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The fourth Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting took place. This platform in support of Ukraine, known as the Rammstein format, was established thanks to the leadership of the United States and now unites 50 countries from all continents, except Antarctica,” Reznikov wrote.

Together with Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevhen Moisiuk and Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Vadym Skibitskyi, Reznikov briefed partners on the situation on the battlefield and the urgent needs of the Ukrainian defense forces.

“As agreed with our cleagues, we keep the intrigue about the lion’s share of the existing and new aid packages, including the supply of arms, ammunition, training of our sdiers and many more. First, they will be felt by the enemy on the battlefield. A positive signal of the meeting is the new commitments of partners, relating to land, sea and sky,” Reznikov noted.

Another aid package from the United States will include, among others, four M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), which are already influencing the situation on the battlefield.

During his speech, Reznikov emphasized Ukraine’s three priorities.

“Firstly, strengthening the mission oriented approach. We ask our cleagues to focus their efforts on increasing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out specific missions. One of them is to unblock our ports and ensure security in the western part of the Black Sea. Everyone could see the first results in the form of Snake Island’s liberation. This work continues. New ‘goodwill gestures’ from the occupiers are not ruled out. Secondly, it is time to systematize the maintenance and repair of foreign equipment that Ukraine receives. This is a large-scale task, as we are already talking of hundreds of [equipment] units. We need coordination from many countries in legal, financial and organizational terms, as well as at the level of production facilities. Thirdly, we are intensifying efforts to ensure transparency in the accounting and use of international military assistance. In particular, the introduction of the NATO LOGFAS program will be accelerated,” Reznikov td.

According to Reznikov, during the fourth Rammstein format meeting, partners reiterated that there is no ‘weariness’ from the war in Ukraine and there will not be. There is understanding that it is not Ukraine that is at stake but the security of the entire Eure. In general, the meeting participants expressed readiness to support Ukraine until its victory.
