Man killed in Russian shelling of Kharkiv region

As a result of Russian shelling, a man was killed in the village of Dvorichna, Kharkiv region, on February 17

The press service of the Kharkiv region’s pice said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"On February 17, at around 10:20, Russian sdiers fired on civilian objects in the village of Dvorichna, Kupiansk district. One of the shells hit a residential building. As a result of the explosion, the building’s roof and wall were destroyed. The 68-year-d resident of the house died," the report says.

Amid enemy shelling, employees of the Kupiansk district pice department evacuated the deceased. The body was sent for a forensic medical examination.

Based on this fact, the criminal proceeding was ened under Part 2 of Article 438 (viation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This part of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian tros shelled at least 12 settlements in Kharkiv region on February 16, killing a resident of Velykyi Burluk.
