Invaders damage pumping station that had to supply water to Mykaiv
Mykaiv Mayor eksandr Sienkevych said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"During a missile attack, Russian terrorists damaged a pumping station of MKP Mykaivvodokanal, located in the Kherson region. Therefore, for an indefinite period of time, we are forced to supply technical water to the city from the Bug estuary," Sienkevych wrote.
He also noted that everyone was waiting for the de-occupation of Kherson and other temporarily captured lands. After that, promptly, literally in a week, the water supply was repaired. "But we are dealing with real terrorists who are powerless against our military, and therefore they fight with the civilian pulation," he said.
According to the mayor, the city continues to repair networks damaged by salt water: "As soon as the security situation allows, we will promptly restore the pumping station and return drinking water to Mykaiv."
On April 12, the Russians blew up the Dnipro-Mykaiv water pipeline, and the city was left without centralized water supply. A month later, the supply was restored, but already with technical water from the Southern Bug. Therefore, the water supply network in Mykaiv needs urgent replacement, because salt water is destroying the entire system.
