In Ukraine, 764 children injured amid Russian invasion
That’s according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.
"As of the morning of September 21, 2022, more than 1,155 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official report by our juvenile prosecutors, 391 children died and more than 764 sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity," the statement reads.
The data are not final as work is ongoing to verify reports coming from the zones of active hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The largest numbers of affected children were recorded in Donetsk region (397), Kharkiv region (225), Kyiv region (116), Mykaiv region (72), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (61), Kherson region (55), Zaporizhia region (47), and Dnipretrovsk region (26).
On September 20, as a result of Russian shelling of the village of Hrushivka in Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, four children aged 10 to 14 were injured.
Some 2,500 educational institutions were damaged by Russian bombardments and shelling. Of them, 289 were completely destroyed.
