If Kremlin attacks Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukraine to respond – Zelensky

The head of state stated this at an online press conference Tuesday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The two sides, with the mediation of the American side, can agree not to attack energy infrastructure. It can’t be that Russia will attack our energy sector and we will remain silent. We will respond. But the two sides, Ukrainian and Russian, not attacking energy – our side will support this," Zelensky said.

He also recalled that the prosal to introduce ceasefire in the sky was part of the Ukrainian prosal that Ukraine’s delegation presented in Jeddah.

“This was part of our prosal again regarding the sky and the sea. With the mediation of the American side, if they are the guarantors of monitoring the implementation of this silence,” the president said.

As Ukrinform reported, on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump had a phone call with Vladimir Putin.

Donald Trump's administration said the Russian side agreed to a limited ceasefire, implying that strikes be halted targeting energy and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine as part of an initiative prosed by the U.S. to establish peace in Ukraine.
