Fierce battles ongoing in Bakhmut, Avdivka directions

That’s according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

In the Vyn, Pissya, and Siversky directions, the situation remains unchanged. In the latter, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling in the areas of Hai, Chernihiv region, as well as Dmytrivka and Kindrativka, Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, enemy barrel and jet artillery ened fire in the areas of Duvanka, Klynove, Sosnivka, Dementiivka, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Velyki Prohody, Tsirkuny, Petrivka, Stary Saltiv, Peremoha, Shestakove, Bayrak, Nortsivka, and Shevelivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, enemy units continued shelling the areas of Dyna, Krasnilla, Bohorodychne, and Virnilla, employing barrel artillery and multiple rocket launcher systems. Enemy aircraft struck the area near Virnillia.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Vesele, Berestove, Bohorodychne, Tetyanivka, Zakitne, Mala Piskunivka, Hryhorivka, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, and Ivano-Daryivka, using mortars, tanks, and jet artillery. Areas near Spirne and Ivano-Daryivka were hit by enemy aircraft.

In the direction of Bakhmut, artillery of various types shelled the areas near Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Sedar, Yakovlivka, Zaytseve, Mayorsk, and Kodema. With offensive actions, the enemy tried to advance in the directions of Bakhmut, Vesela Dyna, and Zaitseve, seeing no success and being forced to retreat. Attempts are being made to establish contr over the settlement of Kodema, where firefights continue.

In the Avdivka direction, the enemy fired mortars, tanks, barrel and jet artillery near Avdivka, ytne, Umanske, Pervomaiske, Staromykhailivka, and New York. With offensive actions, the Russians tried to improve their tactical position in the directions of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, traditionally suffering losses and retreating.

In the Novavlivka direction, enemy fire was recorded near Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, Prechystivka, Zota Nyva, Velika Novosilka, and Blahodatne.

In the Zaporizhia direction, enemy is employing tanks, jet and barrel artillery along the contact line. The Russians are regrouping forces, including units of the 3rd Army Corps on the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region with the aim of resuming the offensive in the specified direction.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy continued shelling military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of eksandrivka, Lyubomirivka, Novomykaivka, Lupareve, Chervonyi Yar, Novohryhorivka, Stepove, Pervomaiske, Kiselivka, Partyzanske, Kvitneve, Chervona Dyna, Kobzartsi, Ternivka, Andriivka, Osokorivka, hyne, Ivanivka , Trudyubivka, Dobryanka, Potyomkine, Knyazivka, and Tyne. The Andrivka district and the Plotnytske tract were hit by air strikes.

The enemy's naval group in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov continues to carry out reconnaissance missions and blocking civilian navigation. The threat of missile strikes on objects and infrastructure facilities deep across the territory of Ukraine remains in place.

The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower.
