Enemy conducting offensive erations in Bakhmut, Avdiivka directions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its erational update as of 06:00, on November 10, Ukrinform reports.

In the past 24 hours, units of the Defense Forces have repelled attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Novoselivske and Makiivka of Luhansk region and Sedar, Klishkiivka, Mayorsk, Yakovlivka, Andriivka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region.

The Russian forces continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian tros along the contact line, fortify defensive positions and conduct aerial reconnaissance. The enemy continues to viate the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war, attacking the civilian infrastructure and civilian residential areas.

In the past 24 hours, the invaders launched 11 missile attacks and 22 airstrikes, more than 35 MLRS attacks. Areas of more than 30 settlements in Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipretrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykaiv regions were affected.

In the Vyn and Pissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly. The Republic of Belarus continues to support the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, accepts and hosts Russian military and provides training grounds for them. The formation of a joint Russian-Belarusian group of tros is currently underway. There is still a threat of missile and airstrikes on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine from the territory of the Republic of Belarus, including the use of Iranian-made UAVs.

In other directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars and artillery of various types to shell settlements:

in the Siverskyi direction – the areas of Hasychivka of Chernihiv region and Pivka, Petrushyvka, Myrillya, Zapsillia, Nova Huta, Novovasylivka and Starikove of Sumy region;

in the Slobozhanske direction – the areas of Hryhorivka, Kodiazne, Strelecha, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve and Ternova settlements;

in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions – the areas of Ploshanka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, Miasozharivka, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Kyslivka;

in the Bakhmut direction – the areas of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Sedar, Ivanhrad, Yakovlivka, Mayorsk, Zelenillia and New York;

in the Avdiivka direction – the areas of Vuhledar, Nevelske, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka and Vesele settlements;

in the Novavlivske and Zaporizhzhia directions – the areas of Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Pavlivka, Huliaipilske, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novil, Mali Shcherbaky, and Ptavka;

In the Southern Buh direction – the areas of Pravdyne, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Sukhyi Stavok, Zota Balka and Marhanets settlements. In addition, the enemy continued to conduct aerial reconnaissance, actively using UAVs. More than 15 sorties were made.

Aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck enemy positions six times during the past day. Two areas of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment build-ups, as well as four positions of enemy air defense systems were damaged. Over the past day, the Defense Forces shot down five Shahed and three Orlan UAVs in different directions.

Over the past day, Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck one command post, one area of manpower, weapons and military equipment build-up, an ammunition depot and other important military objects of the occupiers.
