Czech Republic launches second project to purchase ammunition for Ukraine

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Radio Prague International with reference to the words of Czech Defence Minister Jana Černohová to Deník N.

"This is a natural extension of the existing mechanism. In addition, the sooner donors allocate funds, the sooner our companies will sign long-term contracts," Černohová said.

Currently, the Czech Agency for Intergovernmental Coeration under the Ministry of Defence is clecting information from arms companies on what they will be able to supply to Ukraine next year.

The Czech Republic will once again act as an intermediary between donors – Eurean countries and five arms companies that have already supplied ammunition under the first Czech initiative. The companies will continue to supply next year, the article says.

According to Deník N, the second project will invve five companies: Czechoslovak Group, STV Group, Omnip, Ct CZ Group SE, and the DSS arms company.

As Ukrinform reported, on 22 July, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said that another 100,000 rounds of ammunition would be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the summer as part of the Czech initiative.
