British intelligence shows consequences of Ukrainian strike on Russian S-400 in Crimea
The UK Ministry of Defence posted this on social media platform X, citing intelligence data, Ukrinform reports.
“On 29 November 2024, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed elements of a S-400 air defence system in Simfer, Crimea,” the ministry said.
It is noted that social media highlighted an explosion and detonation of rocket fuel associated with the destruction of air defence system components.
“Two impact craters measuring 13.5m, dispersed debris and five emergency response vehicles were identified from imagery,” the ministry added.
The Ministry of Defence also recalled that this is the second successful targeting of Russian S-400 air defence systems by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in November, flowing the destruction of a S-400 air defence system in Kursk region on 23 November.
As reported by Ukrinform, an explosion occurred in the village of Vityne in temporarily occupied Crimea. A Russian S-400 missile defense system may have been targeted.
