Winter eSupport accrued for another 2 mln Ukrainians – Ministry of Economy

Ukrainians who submitted applications on December 2 and December 3 received payments under the Winter eSupport program, their number amounted to 2 million people, of which 444,000 applications were submitted for children, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported on Monday.

According to the report, thus, 4.4 million citizens have already received financial assistance from the state, including 964,000 payments for children.

"We see that people use the funds they receive mainly to pay for utilities. This shows that payments from the state really help Ukrainians meet their most urgent needs. By paying for electricity, heating or gas, we support our energy sector, which the enemy is trying to destroy," the press service quotes First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko as saying.

She noted that it is also important to buy Ukrainian medicines and books or pay for other local services, as this supports businesses that create jobs in Ukraine and whose taxes go to finance the Defense Forces.

"You can independently direct the received UAH 1,000 to the army through charitable foundations that will turn donations into drones, electronic warfare systems or tactical medicine for our soldiers," Svyrydenko emphasized.

As of December 16, the total number of applications in Diia for participation in the program reached 7.5 million, of which 2 million were for payments for children. During the verification process, about 130,000 applications were rejected due to non-compliance with the terms of the program, in particular from citizens located abroad.

You can apply for Winter eSupport until the end of February, and spend the funds until the end of 2025. The program is available to all citizens in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Payments under the program are made within approximately 10 days from the date of application.

Ukrposhta has also started making Winter eSupport payments. Through it, financial assistance is sent to citizens who receive pensions and other social payments through the company.
