What is known about mobile communication prices in Ukraine?
According to the Ministry of Finance website, as of April 1, 2026, the cost of tariffs ranges from 100 hryvnias to 1,500 hryvnias. It depends on the volume of mobile Internet, roaming, availability of calls, and other possible services.
Important! The resource collects data from mobile operators: Kyivstar, Vodafone, Lifecell. Contract and subscription were taken into account as tariff types.
The cheapest prepaid services are offered by Lifecell – 100/135 hryvnias. The most expensive tariff is from Vodafone (ULTRA VIP). It costs 1500 hryvnias and has virtually unlimited access to all services.
At the same time, users still have a question: why is Ukrainian communication so expensive, and operators regularly change the cost? As Anatoliy Amelin, an economist and telecom market expert, explains, Ukrainian communication is of higher quality than in Europe. That is why the cost is appropriate.
And here is my position. It may be unpopular. If we want to preserve what we have – high-quality communication, resistance to blackouts, normal Internet throughout the country – tariffs should gradually move to 10-12 euros. Not tomorrow. But within 3-5 years,
– said Amelin.
The expert also added that in Ukraine, stable 4G works even during war, shelling, and blackouts. However, if you go to Berlin, it is very difficult to catch 4G without interruptions.
It's easier to grow your business if you have your own car that matches your lifestyle. Yes, the best-selling Škoda Octavia is a balance of comfort and functionality. Nothing superfluous, only the best solutions to make your daily business routine easier. Matrix headlights, wireless phone connection, Front Assist and Cruise Control, three-zone air conditioning and driving mode selection are far from a complete list of “chips” that will allow you to enjoy every trip.
What else do you need to know about communication in Ukraine?
Mobile operator Kyivstar is switching from 3G to 4G on April 21. The company emphasizes that such a step is necessary to provide Ukrainians with faster and higher-quality Internet. At the same time, it is one of the steps to prepare for the upcoming launch of 5G.
Also, due to the fact that Kyivstar's towers were previously merged with Vodafone, the companies were attributed with the possibility of a monopoly on the market. However, in reality, this is just one of the world-class practices that allows maintaining communication efficiency.
