Ukrposhta remained in two frontline settlements in Zaporizhia region due to constant shelling, but the company decided to temporarily suspend its work. It remained the only one that continued to operate in the city of Orikhiv.
Where were the Ukrposhta branches moved to?
For more than two years, Ukrposhta continued to operate in the city of Orikhiv and the village of Preobrazhenka of the Polohivska community in Zaporizhia, reported the company's CEO, Ihor Smilyansky.
However, on February 18, Ukrposhta decided to close these branches.
We lost a car there in the last week. The local VCA lost another car while trying to help us. So, unfortunately, working in these communities has become not just dangerous – it has become an unacceptable risk,
– said Smilyansky.
According to Smilyansky, the vast majority of pensions and “Winter Support” have already been paid, and the company will continue to serve residents of Orekhov and Preobrazhenka in the village of Tavriyske .
