Ukrposhta jointly with EBRD announces tender to buy 1,860 vehicles for Mobile Post Offices project

JSC Ukrposhta together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced a tender for the purchase of 1,860 vehicles for the implementation of the Mobile Post Offices project in 2021.

According to the press service of Ukrposhta, among the main requirements for the proposals is a full set of necessary additional equipment (a full working area, a safe box, GPS, a video recorder, etc.), warranty and service in 17 regions, as well as a number of requirements for the vehicle itself, which were formed on the basis of almost two years of work of a pilot project in Chernihiv region.

The corresponding announcement was made public on the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP platform).

Both residents of Ukraine and non-residents can participate in the tender.

The project will be financed using the funds raised from the EBRD.

"By the end of 2021, some 1,850 new cars should provide more than 11 million residents of villages with a population of up to 2,000 people with 100% of modern services: the ability to receive door-to-door delivery, order medicines and small household appliances in online stores, pay utility bills, and the like. The new vehicles will deliver civilization to the residents of 17 regions, which will complete the automation process of Ukrposhta next year," the company notes.

The purchase of new vehicles became possible thanks to an EBRD loan of EUR63 million, which Ukrposhta will spend on infrastructure development.
