Ukraine’s liquefied gas imports decreasing for third month in a row

According to enkorr, the vume of liquefied gas imports to Ukraine has been decreasing for the third month in a row against the background of a surplus. Due to the low prices of Russian liquefied gas shipped to Ukraine from Pish and Baltic terminals, other sources of supply are gradually cut off.

In February, the number of gas supplier countries decreased from 12 to 7. Last month, Ukrainian companies stped importing liquefied gas from Kazakhstan and Bulgaria. There were also no deliveries from the Czech Republic, Serbia and Estonia.

Liquefied gas supplies from Pand decreased by 8% to 31,400 tonnes, and from Romania – by 9% to 9,800 tonnes. The growth in liquefied gas supplies was recorded only from the Baltic States. Last month, 21,800 tonnes of liquefied gas were shipped from Latvia and Lithuania to Ukraine, which is 21% more than in January.

As reported, as of March 8, the price of liquefied gas continues to dr at Ukrainian filling stations, which decreased on average by another 11 kecks per liter — to UAH 23.19/liter.
