Ukraine’s Alterra Group announces launch of OBRIY Retail Park mall network

Alterra Group and Building Development announced the launch of the OBRIY Retail Park mall network during the RAU Summit-2024 on Wednesday.

Alterra Group is responsible for the creation of the properties, while Building Development acts as the broker for the network.

As reported by Halyna Bohach, Head of the Leasing Department at Alterra Group, to Interfax-Ukraine, the first property of the OBRIY Retail Park network will be the Trepol shopping center in the town of Ukrainka, Kyiv region. The total area of Trepol is 3,500 square meters, including a shelter of 300 square meters, with an open parking lot for 75 cars. Anchor tenants include the Fora store in a new format, occupying 1,200 square meters, Sinsay, Eva, Apteka Dobrogo Dnia, Ukrzoloto, Master Zoo, lifecell, Vodafone, and there will also be a food court. A fitness center is also planned.

The opening of the Trepol shopping center is scheduled for the end of December 2024, with two more OBRIY Retail Park locations in Malekhiv (Lviv region) and Tatariv (Ivano-Frankivsk region) set to open by December 2025.

According to Iryna Koval, Commercial Director of the consulting and management company Building Development, both retail parks will be one-story. The Malekhiv shopping center will cover 6,500 square meters, while the Tatariv shopping center will span 7,800 square meters. The main grocery anchor for both centers will be Torba, and agreements are already in place with brands in clothing, home goods, pharmacies, pet supplies, and more. There are also ongoing discussions regarding the inclusion of children's entertainment centers.
