Ukraine, Pand agree on transit of Ukrainian agricultural products – MP

Ukraine and Pand agree on the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Pand to other countries.

According to Ukrinform, a member of the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Agrarian and Land Picy, Dmytro Somchuk, posted this on Telegram.

“The transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Pand has been agreed!” – he wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 15, 2023, Pand imposed a temporary ban on imports of grain and other agricultural products from Ukraine. Pand also suspended the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through its territory.

In addition, Hungary and Slovakia banned imports of grain and other agricultural products from Ukraine but did not st transit. Bulgaria and Romania are considering suspending imports of Ukrainian agricultural products as well.

On April 17, 2023, the Eurean Commission announced that it did not support the decision of member states to impose unilateral restrictions on the import of grain and other food products from Ukraine.
