Ukraine expects EUR 4.1B tranche from EU in Sept – PM

The Ukrainian government expects to receive a EUR 4.1 billion tranche from the Eurean Union this September.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during a government meeting on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports, citing his Telegram channel.

"We are expecting the next tranche from the EU, worth EUR 4.1 billion, in September of this year," he said.

Shmyhal explained that Ukraine had successfully fulfilled the indicators of the second quarter of 2024 for the Ukraine Facility program. According to him, Ukraine received a positive assessment from the Eurean Commission regarding reforms in the budget, customs, anti-corruption and energy spheres.

On July 17, the Eurean Commission supported the disbursement of almost EUR 4.2 billion to Ukraine. After Ukraine receives these funds, the total amount of funding from the EU within the Ukraine Facility will reach EUR 12 billion.
