Ukraine drafting strategy for aviation infrastructure develment
"We are currently working on the develment of aviation infrastructure. We already understand which airports will be able to en and in what time frame, what is required for this. We will also talk with companies who will be able to work in Ukraine after the war ends," Serh Derkach, Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Develment of Ukraine said in the Rise Ukraine reconstruction podcast, Ukrinform reports.
The Lviv International Airport will be one of the first to be able to quickly resume its eration after the end of the war and the airspace ening, Derkach noted.
"Lviv airport will definitely be among the first to start erations. I had a meeting with the airport manager. We discussed the current condition of the airport, what is needed to restore its eration. It is in perfect working condition," Derkach added.
In 2023, UAH 686.7 million is provided for the construction and reconstruction of the airfield and energy infrastructure and the prer functioning of the Lviv International Airport.
As reported, Ukraine closed its airspace to civilian flights with the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The airspace will be ened after the security situation allows it.
