Ukraine and Denmark discussed funding and production rates of military products

Deputy Minister of Defence Serhiy Boev and the team of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine presented to the Danish delegation proposals on directing funds to the Ukrainian defence industry.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“The capabilities of the Ukrainian defense industry have reached 35 billion US dollars annually, and operational investments will allow us to use these resources to the maximum. Given the threats from the Russian Federation, we do not have time for lengthy reflections,” Boev emphasized.

According to the information, the delegation of the Danish Ministry of Defense, led by the Deputy Head of the Group for Ukraine, Captain 1st Rank Dennis Virkelist, familiarized themselves with the proposals of the Ukrainian side and the list of products of the Ukrainian defense industry complex.

In particular, the parties discussed the possibility of financing Ukrainian companies according to the Danish model, as well as financing production using interest from frozen Russian assets.

The Ukrainian and Danish sides also discussed the issue of the production process and delivery times – how quickly defense products can be transferred to the military after Ukrainian enterprises receive investments.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boev and participants of the NATO Committee meeting discussed strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability as a guarantee of sustainable peace.
