Ukrainians have already filed over 46,000 declarations of property and income. This figure is known as of early March 2026.
How many millionaires are there in Ukraine now?
In particular, 32.4 billion hryvnias of income received in 2025 has already been declared, as stated on the website of the State Tax Service.
The largest amounts of income were declared by taxpayers:
- Kyiv city – 6.6 billion hryvnias;
- Lviv region – 3.0 billion hryvnias;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 2.9 billion hryvnias;
- Kyiv region – 2.8 billion hryvnias.
More than 3,500 citizens declared income of over a million hryvnias.
In total, millionaires declared 14.6 billion hryvnias in income and determined 445 million hryvnias in tax liabilities to be paid,
– noted in the tax office.
Among the most common sources of income:
- inheritance and gifts – 2.9 billion hryvnias;
- sale of movable and immovable property – 819.1 million hryvnias;
- foreign income – 733.2 million hryvnias;
- income from property rental – 406 million hryvnias;
- other taxable income – 340.6 million hryvnias;
- investment income – 227.3 million hryvnias.
Interesting! The largest amount of tax liabilities was declared by a resident of the Kyiv region. He paid over 15.6 million hryvnia in personal income tax and military duty.
In particular, according to the results of the declaration, Ukrainians have determined that they will pay 716 million hryvnias in personal income tax and military levy. This is almost 200 million hryvnias more than in the same period last year.
And starting in 2026, you can file your property and income tax return online in Diya. The application is offering a beta test.
To participate you need:
- be a citizen of Ukraine;
- be an individual with the right to a tax deduction.

What else should Ukrainians know?
- Ukrainians must declare their income. To obtain information about income, you can use the Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet, the “My Tax” mobile application, or contact the service center.
- Most individuals must file their tax return by May 1. Civil servants have a slightly shorter deadline – until March 31, inclusive.
