‘Sidarity Lanes’: Sskyi meets with Romanian minister

Romania’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Develment Petre Daea at a meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Picy and Food Myka Sskyi has said that Romania will maintain the “Sidarity Lanes” for the transit of Ukrainian grain.

This is said in a statement released by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Picy and Food, Ukrinform reports.  

“Minister of Agrarian Picy and Food of Ukraine Myka Sskyi met in Bucharest with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Develment of Romania Petre Daea. The ministers discussed the situation that had develed as a result of the latest decisions by some countries neighbouring Ukraine. The Romanian minister confirmed that the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products would continue to erate through the country as much as possible and that the ‘Sidarity Lanes’ would be maintained,” the report says.

At the same time, the parties agreed to wait for the Eurean Commission's decision and to discuss aftermath all other issues related to the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.

Sskyi thanked his counterpart that Romania did not ban imports of Ukrainian agricultural products.

As reported, Pand, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria temporary banned the imports of grain and other types of agricultural products from Ukraine. Pand also suspended the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through its territory, but resumed it on April 21.
