The Ministry of Infrastructure has reported that it is working with Western countries to close ports for Russian ships.
"Already now, ports are beginning to be closed for the aggressor's ships. In particular, the UK has already taken the appropriate decision for the ships of Russia, as well as all those associated with it. We expect that all our Western partners will join it in the near future," the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said in the Telegram channel.
At the same time, the Danish shipping company Maersk temporarily stops all container traffic to and from Russia. In addition, cargo for the Russian Federation is not processed in the ports of Belgium. Belgian ports do not allow all cargo destined for the aggressor country. Cargo is delayed by dock workers in Belgian ports.
"We are also grateful to Turkey for closing the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles for warships. At the same time, we are working to block the railroad, shipping and transport system of the occupier around the world," Kubrakov said, emphasizing the importance of blocking Russian shipping, since it directly affects import and export opportunities of the occupier.
"Now we hit Russia's air transport system most painfully. Without any exaggeration, it is actually blocked. All European and North American airspaces are closed. We are also working to ensure that European leasing and insurance companies stop working with the occupier's airlines. Let me remind you that more than 50% of the fleet is under lease," Kubrakov said.
The Ministry of Infrastructure also announced the readiness of Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania and Turkey to let Ukrainian vehicles through without international permits, which simplifies the logistics of humanitarian and military-technical assistance to Ukraine. Truck drivers who will deliver aid to Ukraine will be allowed to cross the state border, regardless of age, the head of the ministry said.
"Everyone who wants to help Ukraine from abroad, organize locally through our embassies or contact the list of hubs for humanitarian aid determined by the government. Now there are a lot of people who want to help. Everyone is now on the verge of exhaustion, so we kindly ask you to organize yourself," Kubrakov said.
At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia evacuation trips are carried out from hot spots to large transport hubs, from where women, children, people with disabilities and the elderly can get to the border with our Western partners. All relevant information about them is available on the media resources of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to Kubrakov, Ukraine has agreed with Poland, Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria on the free passage of Ukrainian refugees by their railways.
According to the minister, Ukravtodor is systematically working on the creation of "green corridors" that should ensure the movement of goods, the evacuation of people and at the same time hinder the enemy. Also, road workers dismantle road signs on all roads of the country.
The minister specifically recalled that the national postal operator – Ukrposhta – is also restoring work every day.
