Pressure on Russia must be increased: Energy Minister briefs IAEA on consequences of Russian strikes

Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko called on IAEA member states to increase pressure on Russia in order to st the aggressor's attacks on infrastructure critical to nuclear safety.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrinform saw.

Galushchenko informed the IAEA Board of Governors about the critical consequences of Russian strikes that jeardize nuclear safety at Ukrainian nuclear energy facilities.

"The Minister called on IAEA member states to increase pressure on Russia in order to st shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which is critical for nuclear and radiation safety," the Ministry of Energy reports.

The minister also emphasized that nuclear safety is a shared responsibility that goes beyond state borders. Therefore, it is extremely important to protect the fundamental principles that underlie the peaceful use of nuclear energy and ensure a reliable and sustainable future for this energy sector.

As reported, Galushchenko called on UN member states to make every effort to st Russia's attacks on infrastructure critical to nuclear safety.
