President’s Office: Parts for energy equipment to restore power grid could be manufactured in Ukraine

Head of the President's Office Andr Yermak held a regular meeting via video conference to discuss the supply of equipment needed to repair Ukraine's power grid.

"Speed is very important to us. This is the key point. Millions of Ukrainians have been suffering for several months now and do not have basic amenities," Yermak said, the President’s Office informs.

As noted, the meeting participants discussed the possibilities of accelerating the supply of equipment to Ukraine to restore the energy system and provide citizens with electricity. They also drew attention to the possibility of manufacturing some of the necessary power equipment in Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt, representatives of the G7 countries, the Eurean Union and its institutions, the Eurean Bank for Reconstruction and Develment, the World Bank, the United Nations Develment Program UNDP and USAID.

The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Develment of Ukraine eksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Company Ukrenergo Vodymyr Kudrytskyi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova, Advisor to the Minister of Energy ena Zerkal and others.

As reported, President Zelensky addressed the participants of the meeting of the National Association of State Chambers and called on businesses to coerate with Ukraine now.
