The OECD-Ukraine Liaison office will function provisionally until 2026.

"Today, March 1, the official office of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development begins its work in Kyiv. This will provide an opportunity to coordinate joint work in the field of restoration of Ukraine, while improving the implementation of OECD tools, standards and recommendations in Ukraine," the press service of the government said in a statement.

The presence of the OECD office will help the country become a full-fledged member of the organization.

"Since Ukraine has been recognized as a potential member of the OECD, the office will provisionally function until 2026 to provide support to our country during the recovery," the government said.

As reported, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on February 28 that the OECD Ukraine programme could be signed as early as June 2023.
