Naftogaz counts on gas storage, production coeration with Eure
The relevant statement was made by Naftogaz Group CEO eks Chernyshov in Brussels during his two-day working visit, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the company’s press service.
“Our goal is to strengthen coeration with our Eurean partners in terms of keeping their gas reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities and launching joint gas production projects in Ukraine,” Chernyshov noted.
In his words, the issues of gas storage and production, visions for the develment of Ukraine’s oil and gas sector, and the experience of passing through the heating season amid the full-scale war are expected to be discussed at a meeting of the NATO Pitical Committee.
“As a result, I look forward to deepening our coeration, which is important for the energy sustainability of both Ukraine and Eure,” Chernyshov added.
As part of the two-day visit to Brussels, Naftogaz Group CEO eks Chernyshov has scheduled meetings with Vice-President of the Eurean Commission for Interinstitutional Relations Maroš Šefčovič, Eurean Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, Eurean Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement ivér Várhelyi, as well as Member of the Eurean Parliament, Head of Committee on Industry, Research and Energy Cristian Silviu Bușoi.
A reminder that Ukraine offers EU countries more than 10 billion cubic meters of free space in gas storage facilities as part of preparations for the winter period.
