Who are employers looking for most in Ukraine / pravdatutnews.com
Due to a shortage of personnel, the labor market in Ukraine is in a state of “silver age.” This means that employers are literally hunting for a certain category of people, because they are the most profitable to hire.
Who are employers looking for the most and why?
In Ukraine, employers are increasingly looking at candidates 55+, writes RBC-Ukraine.
If ten years ago people of pre-retirement age were gently “pushed aside”, today the situation has changed – experienced specialists are literally being hunted.
In addition, the most attractive category for any employer today is the category of men 60+. By hiring such a person, the employer, first of all, “will not be afraid that they will be mobilized in a month,” says Ella Libanova, director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research.
In which industries do people 50+ need and don't need them?
There are currently industries where replacing young people with older workers is not very profitable:
- Restaurant business. It's hard to imagine a waiter 60+ in the hall: it's constant movement, heavy trays, and a high pace. But there are enough older workers in the kitchens and in the administrative part of establishments.
- Retail and real estate. Those who show apartments or work directly with clients are usually younger. But in the “back office” there are a lot of people 55+.
However, there are areas where employees over 50 are worth their weight in gold: in industry, construction, transport, and the agricultural sector, experienced workers are actively invited. Not only physical endurance is important there, but also knowledge of processes and responsibility – something that comes with age.
It's easier to grow your business if you have your own car that matches your lifestyle. Yes, the best-selling Škoda Octavia is a balance of comfort and functionality. Nothing superfluous, only the best solutions to make your daily business routine easier. Matrix headlights, wireless phone connection, Front Assist and Cruise Control, three-zone air conditioning and driving mode selection are far from a complete list of “chips” that will allow you to enjoy every trip.
