In Ukraine, 800 enterprises relocated – Ministry of Economy

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, according to Ukrinform.

"Since the beginning of war, 800 enterprises have been relocated from dangerous regions with the government support. Today, 623 enterprises are already working at new locations. For another 239, a suitable location or method of transportation is being sought. More than 650 businesses that planned to relocate their production facilities refused to do so due to the de-occupation of territories where they are located. In addition, some enterprises are now returning to their previous eration sites as the security situation there is improving, in particular, in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. Forty-four enterprises have already returned," said Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy.

According to the official, most enterprises relocated to Lviv (24%), Zakarpattia (14.5%), Chernivtsi (9.8%), Ivano-Frankivsk (8.3%), Khmelnytskyi (7.3%), and Ternil ( 6.3%) regions.

Berezhna noted that the relocation program continues to erate, although the number of requests has significantly decreased, compared to March-April last year, when their number reached a thousand.

"The government continues to provide support to enterprises that have decided to relocate, because their transportation to safer regions means preserving jobs, preserving the dynamics of tax payments, preserving the activity of business, which is a driver of reconstruction and a strong player on the economic front," Berezhna noted.

The Ministry of Economy notes that an enterprise that has made a decision to relocate from dangerous regions can receive a package of state support, which includes the flowing tions: selection of a location for the enterprise's facilities, assistance with transportation to a new location, assistance in the resettlement of employees and the search for new employees and support in restoring logistics, purchasing raw materials and finding sales markets.

As reported, the government program of relocation of enterprises is implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine together with regional state administrations, as well as the Ukrzaliznytsia railway erator and the Ukrposhta national postal service.
