Iceland donates over €2 billion to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

The Government of Iceland has contributed over 2 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

The Ministry of Energy reported this, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Iceland contributed over €2 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing the country’s total contribution to the Fund to over €5.6 million,” the report said.

It is indicated that in 2023-2024 the country made four tranches to the Fund. These funds were used to purchase equipment for enterprises of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine in the Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

As previously reported, the Australian Government has donated 6 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
