Ukrposhta has responded to journalists' publications about the purchase of packaging from the Trypillya Packaging Plant. Its owner, Gennady Minin, is suspected of having ties to Russia.
How did Ukrposhta explain the contract with Minin's combine?
The company noted that all purchases are carried out in accordance with the legislation on public procurement. For this, the Prozorro system is used, where participants are checked through open registers and databases, Ukrposhta reported.
The statement says that the contract with the Trypillya Packaging Plant was signed in July 2025. Before that, the company claims, all necessary checks were carried out. According to their results, no grounds were found for rejecting the supplier's offer or refusing to sign the agreement.
Please note that Ukrposhta, as a customer, does not have the right to arbitrarily and unreasonably reject a participant's offer during the procurement procedure in the absence of evidence specified by law. At the same time, Ukrposhta takes full responsibility for information about possible connections of counterparties with the aggressor state,

If law enforcement officials officially confirm the facts reported by journalists, the company promises to react – in particular, to review cooperation with the relevant contractor.
What is known about Gennady Minin's alleged business in Russia?
Gennady Minin owns, in particular, the Trypillya Packaging Plant in the Kyiv region, Schemy writes.
According to the data of the Bi Prozorro analytics module, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the plant has concluded contracts with Ukrposhta for the supply of boxes and crates worth almost 90 million hryvnias .
Gennady Minin headed the RKTK – “Rubizhansk Cardboard and Packaging Plant” in Luhansk Oblast in 1991. Before the full-scale war, the plant was the market leader among corrugated packaging (cardboard packaging) manufacturers in Ukraine.
After the Russian occupation, Gennady Minin's enterprises – RKTK and Donmakr (part of the RKTK corporate group) – were re-registered in accordance with the legislation of the aggressor country. In the fall of 2022, they appeared in the register of legal entities of Russia with the same names as before. Gennady Minin is listed as the head in the register.
Thanks to journalists' sources in the Russian tax service, we managed to obtain a number of documents containing signatures similar to those of Gennady Minin from the official websites of his Ukrainian enterprises,

According to information, Gennady Minin and his wife Natalia have Russian citizenship . However, Minin himself calls himself a citizen of Ukraine.
