Four more grain ships left Odesa region’s ports over two days
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over two days, four ships loaded with 145,000 tonnes of wheat for Asia have left the Odesa region’s ports. The bulk carrier STAR EMERALD is among them, carrying 71,000 tonnes of wheat towards Indonesia,” the report states.
Currently, twenty-three vessels are being handled at the Odesa region’s ports. They will be loaded with 734,000 tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products.
Three more vessels are now sailing towards the Ukrainian ports via the ‘grain corridor’. They are expected to be loaded with 166,000 tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products.
Meanwhile, a total of 92 vessels are now waiting in line in the Bosphorus Strait due to Russia’s artificial constraints on inspection procedures.
“For example, out of 65 vessels, the aggressor state has registered just three today. This situation causes restrictions on the performance of Ukrainian ports and cuts export vumes by at least 3 million tonnes per month,” the ministry stressed.
Generally, since August 1, 2022, a total of 558 vessels have left the Odesa region’s ports. They exported 14 million tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products to Asian, Eurean and African countries.
